The proposed arrangement would serve as an initial memorandum declaring a halt to hostilities and setting a 30-day window for more detailed negotiations on a comprehensive agreement.
According to reports, the next phase of talks would address key issues including the resumption of transit through the Strait of Hormuz, restrictions on Iran’s nuclear activities, and the gradual lifting of US sanctions.
Possible locations for the follow-up negotiations are being considered, with Islamabad and Geneva mentioned as potential venues.
Under the draft outline, Iran would agree to temporarily suspend uranium enrichment activities, while the United States would begin easing sanctions and release several billion dollars in frozen Iranian assets.
Both sides would also reportedly ease measures affecting maritime activity in the Strait of Hormuz, including limits on Iranian shipping operations and restrictions tied to US naval presence in the area.
